Amerika-mura is Osaka's street fashion and youth culture district, centered around Triangle Park. Vintage shops, streetwear boutiques, and record stores concentrate in a compact area that functions as Osaka's answer to Harajuku.

Amerika-mura (American Village) occupies a compact grid of streets west of the Shinsaibashi-suji shopping arcade, centered around the small Triangle Park that serves as the neighborhood's social hub. The area earned its name in the 1970s when shops began importing American vintage clothing and records, and it has evolved into Osaka's primary street fashion and youth culture district — functionally equivalent to Harajuku in Tokyo but with a distinct Osaka character that is more relaxed and less performance-oriented.

The shop mix today includes vintage American denim and workwear specialists, Japanese streetwear labels, sneaker resellers, independent record stores, and a growing number of cafes and crepe stands. Triangle Park itself is the gathering point for Osaka's youth fashion subcultures on weekends. For fashion visitors, the natural circuit is to walk through Amerika-mura, then continue east into the Shinsaibashi-suji arcade for mainstream retail, and south to Dotombori for food — all walkable within 20 minutes.
