Pokémon Center Nagoya

ポケモンセンターナゴヤ

The Chubu region's only Pokémon Center, located in central Nagoya, carries Chubu-exclusive merchandise and draws the smallest visitor queues of any Japanese flagship — a practical advantage for collectors whose Tokyo and Osaka trips meant hour-plus entry waits.

Pokémon Center Nagoya is the Chubu region's only flagship, located on the 6th floor of Matsuzakaya Nagoya in the Sakae district. For visitors building multi-city Pokémon itineraries, this is the shop with the lowest tourist volume and the shortest queues — an advantage collectors only fully appreciate after experiencing the 60-minute Tokyo and Osaka waits during peak travel seasons.

The Chubu-exclusive merchandise lineup includes Nagoya cuisine–themed goods (miso-katsu Pikachu, hitsumabushi-themed accessories) and Aichi-prefecture iconography. Most items rotate on the same six-week cycle as the other centers, with Chubu exclusives that do not appear in Tokyo or Osaka. The merchandise footprint is moderate — slightly smaller than Osaka DX, considerably larger than Kyoto.

The store's location makes it natural to pair with two nearby JDM and anime destinations: the Toyota Automobile Museum in Nagakute is a 40-minute drive or short train + shuttle from the center of Nagoya, and Ghibli Park is a 45-minute ride on the Linimo. Both make strong day-long extensions for visitors whose interests cross over.
