Mikimoto Ginza Main Store

ミキモト銀座本店

Mikimoto Ginza is the flagship of the brand that invented cultured pearls. The building, designed by Toyo Ito, is a Ginza architectural landmark, and the store carries Heritage and High Jewelry collections not available at any other global location.

Mikimoto's Ginza main store is the global flagship for the brand that Kokichi Mikimoto founded in 1893 after perfecting the cultured pearl technique — an innovation that fundamentally changed the jewelry industry. The current building, designed by architect Toyo Ito, features an organic steel-and-glass facade that evokes coral forms and stands out even on Ginza's architecture-rich streetscape.

The store carries the full retail range of Mikimoto pearl jewelry, from classic single-strand necklaces through contemporary designs. The distinguishing feature of the Ginza flagship is access to Heritage and High Jewelry collections — one-of-a-kind and limited-edition pieces that incorporate Mikimoto's finest pearls and are not displayed at any other global location. Viewing these collections is by appointment. For visitors interested in the history of Japanese luxury craftsmanship, Mikimoto is one of the few brands where the founding story, the craft, and the contemporary product are all best experienced at a single location.
