Hermès Ginza (La Maison Hermès)

エルメス銀座 メゾンエルメス

La Maison Hermès in Ginza is Renzo Piano's glass-block tower, housing the full retail collection plus Le Forum gallery space — one of the most distinctive luxury retail buildings in Asia.

La Maison Hermes Ginza is Renzo Piano's glass-block tower on Chuo-dori, and it remains one of the most architecturally significant luxury retail buildings in Asia two decades after its completion. The facade is composed of custom-made 45cm glass blocks that glow from within at night, creating an effect that is simultaneously modern and warm — a quality that mirrors the brand's positioning between industrial craft and luxury.

The retail floors carry the full Hermes collection: leather goods, silk, equestrian, ready-to-wear, and fragrance. The upper floors house Le Forum, a gallery space that presents free contemporary art exhibitions organised around themes of craft and materiality. Past exhibitions have featured installations commissioned specifically for the space, making them impossible to see elsewhere. For visitors interested in architecture and luxury as intertwined experiences, the Hermes building pairs naturally with the Jun Aoki-designed Louis Vuitton Namiki flagship a few blocks south.
