Who we are
Japan Atlas is a multilingual travel discovery website operated by Medusa Japan. This policy explains how we handle information about visitors to our site.
What we collect
We collect three categories of information:
Analytics data (always on): We use Plausible Analytics, which does not set cookies and does not collect personal data. Plausible records aggregated, anonymized page views and referral sources. No individual visitor is identifiable from Plausible data.
Advertising data (EU consent required): If you consent via our cookie banner, Google AdSense and Google Analytics 4 may set cookies to personalize ads and measure performance. These cookies follow IAB TCF v2.3 purposes and can be managed at any time via the "Manage cookies" link in our footer.
Contact information (only when you provide it): If you email us, we retain your message to reply.
How we use information
- To operate and improve the site.
- To serve ads (EU visitors: only with your consent).
- To respond to your inquiries.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it with third parties except as required to operate the services listed above (Plausible, Google).
